Which would be better? A digital camera with rechargeable AA batteries or a lithium rechargeable battery?

I’m trying to decide between a some digital cameras and I was wondering if you would choose a battery that used AA batteries or the standard lithium battery.

Lithium batteries have longer life and can stand longer charging cycles…so you’re getting more power and longer service time
First of all, don’t confuse lithium with lithium ion. Lithium batteries come in AA and other standard sizes. They are not rechargeable but last a long time. Lithium ion batteries are in weird rectangular shapes. These are the ones that are rechargeable. I strongly recommend getting a camera that uses the rechargeable lithium ion batteries.
i know that a lot of people recommend the lithium ion batteries BUT they are usually quite expensive, you have to use the ones specifically made for a particular camera & you would need a spare for those times when the battery goes flat & you still want to keep taking pictures. the AA batteries are available just about anywhere so if they go flat then you can EASILY get spares & keep shooting. whatever batteries you do get you should ALWAYS have a spare set charged up & ready to go. you can get AA rechargeables already charged when you buy them so i’d go for them everytime.
I much prefer the lithium ion rechargeable batteries. They have soooooo much longer lives and usually result in cameras that are smaller and slimmer. I have a Canon Powershot SD1000 that uses one and I always run out of memory card space (on a 1gb card) before I’m even half done the battery.
Lithium battery is better.
im using AA batteries at home and i have a hard time charging it.
AA batteries life span is not that long. it lapse after a year, so i need to buy another rechargable battery again.
i’m using my KODAK camera for 5 years and battery is always my problem.
now, im planning to buy another camera with lithium battery operated. We’re using lithium batt in the office and we dont have a problem on it.
definitey lithium ion batteries because u’ll find yourself driving to the store alot if you dont have rechargable but its just annoying to have to keep buying them, even if you get the rechargable AA batteries, you still have to wait 6 hours or so to charge them, most lithium ion batteries now only take 1 – 2 hours to charge, people only like aa batteries because it easier to get them if you are out then you can conviently go buy more at any store, however its a hassle to always pay for batteries when you can just use the same one, lithuim ion batteries also have a longer lifetime span but they also cost more to replace but i would say its well worth it!
